On June 26th 10:00pm, night work forced the northbound traffic closure of Freeway No.5, between Yilan and Toucheng(sta.38k~sta.30k)
The construction and traffic control periods are shown as the figure below.

The following detours are recommended to cope with this closure(6/26 10:00pm~12:00pm & 6/27 am4:00~am6:00):
The Northward vehicle on Freeway No.5 to Taipei: Drive off Yilan Interchange, then along country route no.191, country no.宜-4, country route no.191甲, Provincial Highway No.2庚, then get inbound on Toucheng I.C. of Freeway No.5.
The following detours are recommended to cope with the fire drill of Tunnel Hsuehshan(6/27 0:00am~4:00am): The Northward vehicle on Freeway No.5 to Taipei: Drive off Yilan Interchange, then along country route no.191, country no.宜-4, country route no.191甲, Provincial Highway No.2庚, Provincial Highway No.9 to Pinglin, then along Guozhong Road, country route no.106乙,and get inbound on Shiding I.C. of Freeway No.5.
The travelers are also recommended to be aware of and be familiar with aforementioned alternative routes. All the necessary message signs indicating the construction site and the detour have been setup throughout the detour ahead. Follow up those signs and slow down your speed would improve a safe trip.
